There is more to a FIRST team than just building a robot
Some team members use their talents to communicate with our sponsors and supporters. Some members spend their time revamping our competition scouting system. Others create videos and other media to spread the word about FIRST and Norsemen Robotics. And we have members who build our practice field, update our social media or brainstorm recruiting ideas. And a few do a bit of everything!
No matter the talents our members bring to the team, we put them to work. No one person is more important than another - we rely on each other, learn from one another and accept each other. Norsemen Robotics is only successful when we all work together for the good of the team.
Over the years, several sub-teams have emerged: build, logistics, scouting and drive teams. Members are encouraged to become involved in sub-teams that line up with their individual talents, but also to challenge themselves to try something a bit out of their comfort zone and possibly find a new interest.
